Records Galore Edition

There were several records broken this month, but the most important were two: The 3.117 units registered by the Nissan Leaf is the best performance EVER by any pure electric car ANYWHERE, and the 12.053 units sold in the US EV market in May is now the new record to brake.

There were other models to break their personal records, the Prius Plug-In shattered its previous record (2.095 last October), registering 2.692 units, climbing to #2 YTD at the expense of the Chevy Volt, the Ford Fusion Energi sold 1.342 units, registering for the first time a four digit performance, while the Smart Fortwo ED (206 units), established a new personal best for the third month in a row(!).

A final mention for the 182 units sold by the Chevy Spark EV, a new record and an excellent performance that should make The General reconsider the Compliance Car status of the little car.
