It was my first time over at the Royal Gourmet Chinese restaurant in Premiere Hotel Klang. I was informed they had these rather nice weekend 'eat all you can' pork-free dim sum buffet, so there we were last weekend to sample some of their 'noms'. Located at Klang, it wasn't exactly the nearest spot from my home. Nevertheless, check out below on what we had that morning.

'Siew Mai' Dumpling |
Steamed Prawn Dumpling |
It was a dim sum feast last weekend as we literally took the 'eat all you can' phrase to the test, eating until we were literally gasping for air. Royal Gourmet prepared some of the nicer dumplings I've had in a while, steamed hot with fresh prawns and chicken meat in their steamed prawn dumplings and 'siew mai' dumplings respectively. Not bad at all, but this was only the beginning of our binge.
Steamed San Kang Dumpling |
More dim sum delights |
Fish Paste Dumplings |
Various steamed dumplings and dim sum were laid out for us to feast on in the Royal Gourmet's 'Eat All You Can' dim sum buffet. One piece is never enough, and here we could have as many pieces as we want. Some of the ones we had are pictures above, namely the Fish Paste Dumplings, and the Steamed San Kang dumplings.
Flour roll with BBQ Chicken |
'Char siew' bao |
It was interesting to note that Royal Gourmet @ Premiere Hotel Klang, offered pork-free dishes which tasted just as good as the ones I normally have elsewhere. The Flour roll with BBQ Chicken
has a silky smooth texture to the skin, being prepared just the way I like. Biting into the Char Siew Bao, I've got my fair share of the chicken fillings, being a bit on the sweet side.
Deep Fried Crispy Prawn Roll |
Crispy Fried Wanton |
Deep Fried Crispy Cheese Dumpling |
If you're like me, who loves the deep fried stuff equally as the steamed dumplings, then do try out their deep fried crispy prawn roll, crispy fried wanton, and deep fried crispy cheese dumplings. Not too oily, yet crispy and good to munch on.
Sesame Balls |
Deep Fried Japanese Crab Stick |
So simple, yet surprisingly tasty, the Deep Fried Japanese Crab Stick had me hooked on it the moment I started munching on one piece. Not a big fan of the sesame balls though, as I always feel the dough isn't as crispy as I would like it to be.
Char Kway Teow |
Wok-fried Radish Cake |
Personally I liked their Wok-fried Radish Cake as it was both tasty and had that 'crunchiness' from the vegetables added inside. It was not too oily, which was a good thing. As for the Char Kway Teow, I've had better ones, but these weren't too bad either.
Baked BBQ Chicken Puff |
Overall it was a rather nice dim sum buffet for breakfast on a weekend. The Dim Sum Buffet @ Royal Gourmet Premiere Hotel Klang is opened from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday priced at RM59++ before discount. The good thing is that there's an on-going promotion offering a 50% discount off the published rate, so do check them out if you're in the vicinity on a weekend.
