The Smart Fortwo ED is still selling quite well

Oops, I Did It Again Edition

After enjoying a podium seat in May, last month the Outlander PHEV achieved again a seat in the top best-sellers of the month, registering 147 units, only behind the 211 of the BMW i3, with the Fortwo ED (137 registrations) finishing the podium, a brilliant result, now that its successor is being revealed to the world.

In the YTD chart, the Renault Zoe (Only 42 units, worst result of the year) lost the #4 to the Outlander PHEV, while the VW e-Golf climbed another spot to #9 and the BMW i8 continues to rise, it's now #11 and a Top 10 place seems possible until the end of the year.

On the manufacturers ranking, BMW is ahead of the competition, with 25% share, followed by VW with 18% and Renault with 13%.

Finally, with 6.903 units sold so far, last year record of 6.714 units sold in a year has been already beaten, with plenty of time to improve it, which might justify the "Year One" tag that has been said regarding the German EV Market.
