Norway July 2014 (Updated)

E-Golf Shoots For Number One Edition

A total of 1.497 EV's were sold in Norway, a below par month, dropping the EV Share by 0,05% to 14,43%.

There's a newcomer in the monthly leadership, the VW e-Golf  finally had its first real sales month, with 391 sales, shooting for the monthly EV leadership and ending in #3 on the General Ranking, behind the Toyota Auris and...The ICE Golf.

The VW e-Up! continued to sell like hot cakes (282 units sold) and ended in #3 on the electric chart, behind the Nissan Leaf, which lately has been under performing (313 units this month). It looks like the e-Golf has won the hearts (And wallets) of the middle class, leaving the japanese hatch behind.

With this brilliant performance, Volkswagen is already the Third Best Selling Brand in the YTD ranking, with 19% share, behind Nissan, with 25%, and Tesla, 27%.

A final mention for  the YTD leader Tesla, we were expecting the usual low numbers in the first month of a trimester, but 114 units it is not only the worst month of the year, but it is also the second lowest sales month for the american manufacturer in Norway...Something to worry about or just a slip?
