Mix/Matched Apple Watch Design Combinations, See How They Look Before You Buy

Have you, like myself been wondering what Apple Watch and bands you’ll purchase when they’re released in early 2015? Ever since the Apple Watch was announced back in September, I have been.

Well now thanks to forum member, jafingi, of MacRumors, there is a website where you can mix and match all the different Apple Watch cases with the different band designs, so you can find that perfect combination before its released.

All you need to do is choose one of the 6 watches, then one of the 20 different bands/straps you’d think would match. Your combination is then shown at the bottom of the page. You can continue to do this as many times as you’d like. This is a fast and easy way to do so.

However, there is a downside to seeing this. Apple would have you believe that there are a lot of different combinations, while this may be the case, most would come out looking kinda tacky, as I’m sure you’ll find out yourselves. There are some bands/straps that only match certain watch designs. For example, let’s take the Space-Black Stainless Steel Chrome Apple Watch. Although in my opinion, it is one of the nicest looking watches, there is a limited amount of bands/straps that will match, e.g: the Space-Black Stainless Steel Band or the darker Sport Bands, and maybe even the Leather Loop straps. So far it doesn't look like there will even be a Space-Black Classic Leather Buckle, unlike the other Stainless Steel and Yellow Gold Watch.

Another example, the Apple Watch Sport, which features the aluminum case. That will really only go with the Sport fluoroelastomer bands, or the Leather Loop, because the other bands all have a Chrome or Gold finish. Way to disappoint from the get go. Lets just hope that there is more band/straps to be announced when the Apple Watch is released, or at least third-party bands soon after the release of the Apple Watch.

However this site is a great way to help you decide on what you may want, when the time comes. Now all we have to think about is the pricing of the Apple Watch, once we know this I think it will help many of us to determine what watch/band combination we’ll end up with. If you’re anything like myself, I don’t see me running out and buying that 18-carat gold watch anytime soon, considering we still don’t have an idea of any sort of product timeline for the next Gen Apple Watch release.
