The Kangoo ZE found the road map to the podium |
Tesla Is Alive! Edition
301 new EV's were registered last month, the third worst month of the year, which can be explained by the end of Government subsidies to plug-ins, there are talks that they can return on January 1st, so don't expect much from the Swedish market until then...As a consequence, the EV Share went down to 1,66%, still way above the 0,71% of last year.
Looking at the November models ranking, Sweden continues to be Outlander PHEV (132 units) turf, with three times more sales than the runner-up, the Volvo V60 Plug-In (44 sales).
But it's below these two that surprises start to appear, with two Renault models following in #3, both the Kangoo ZE (Best result since February) and the Zoe sold 27 units, a positive result for the french brand that is now #3 in the manufacturers ranking, with 10% share, only below Volvo (14%) and Mitsubishi (47%).
The other surprise (Or not), is the Fifth place of the Tesla Model S, selling 20 units, with many analysts battering the American brand for allegedly being creative with sales numbers, it is good to see positive numbers for Tesla. Will we see them beat their sales record (45 units) in December? I wouldn't bet against it...

2 | Volvo V60 Plug-In | 44 | |
3 | Renault Kangoo ZE | 27 | |
3 | Renault Zoe | 27 | |
5 | Tesla Model S | 20 |
As a consequence, the Model S jumped from #7 to #4 in the YTD table, while the LCV champ, Renault Kangoo ZE, also jumped three positions from #8 to #5, and looking closer, we can see a rare event, there are only 4 units separating the #4 from the #7! Talk about balanced rankings...
The #9 Renault Zoe is finally getting closer to the top, with only 20 units separating it from the #8 VW e-Up!
Further down the ranking, the Nissan e-NV200 climbed two positions to #11, while the Audi A3 e-Tron made a steady landing in Sweden, selling 10 units in its first month of sales.
