So I've heard lots about the Number76 salon from various Instagram and social media shares by friends. With multiple branches across the Klang Valley, and even one in Tokyo Japan, I just had to give them a try especially when it's nearing Chinese New Year and I'm in need of a haircut. On top of providing haircuts and hairstyling services, they have some pretty cool scalp and hair treatment too, one which I tried today, the Kerastase Scalp Treatment.

Tools of the trade, to check the health of my hair pores |
Kerastase, to be used to treat my scalp |
It did not take long before I was promptly welcomed, and seated on those comfy chairs, served with tea and biscuit, all ready to undergo my Kerastase Scalp Treatment. First Jeddy, my senior stylist for the day took a microscope thingy, to scan my hair at it's roots to check exactly how bad my scalp is. It is a painless process of just scanning through my hair.

The iPad showing my clogged scalp, all ready to be cleaned and hopefully unclogged by the treatment |
As expected, the results show my pores to be pretty clogged with oil and other stuff which is supposedly very bad for the hair. I know this is a problem with my scalp as it tends to get oily very easily with lots of dandruff and all. So in the hopes of cleaning it this time around, and amidst my promises of ensuing that I thoroughly clean my hair daily, my Kerastase Scalp Treatment began.
Applying the Kerastase on my scalp, one portion at a time |
They started off by applying the Kerastase Peeling Purifiant and leaving it on for 15 minutes before heading off to wash it off with a special shampoo formulated for oily scalp and dandruff. After the wash, I could actually feel my hair being rather squeaky clean, and it went for another round of tonic application. The process was relatively simple, with promises of getting rid of all the dirt, oil and impurities from my scalp.

Oh, I had a haircut too! |
The pricing for the Kerastase Scalp Treatment is either RM180, or RM200 after consultation by the hairstylist. Number76's complete pricing list can be found at their website linked here (http://www.number76.com/service.php) Overall, I left with a lighter head, partially due to the fact I had a haircut too while I was there, on top of the very cleansing Kerastase Scalp Treatment. Oh, did I mention I love my new haircut by Jeddy? Now I'm all set to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year!
