Surge Edition
449 new EV's were registered last month, with the EV Share stable at 1,66%, which two time more than the 0,71% of last year and four(!) times more than 2012...YTD numbers are slightly above 5.000 units, which is more than all the other years combined!
Looking at the Monthly models ranking, this time Swedes gave a little love to the home-boy V60 Plug-In (110 units), that almost caught the leader Outlander PHEV (139 units, undisputed leader since Nov.'13!).
Tesla surged to #3, with 64 units (AWD factor?), its best result ever in Sweden, while behind it two Renault models continue to impress, with the Kangoo ZE (39 units, best result since 2012) and the Zoe (32 units, second best result ever) contributing for a positive second half of the year for the french brand.

2 | Volvo V60 Plug-In | 110 | |
3 | Tesla Model S | 64 | |
3 | Renault Kangoo ZE | 39 | |
5 | Renault Zoe | 32 |
The last month of the year brought a few minor changes to the YTD ranking, with the Zoe passing the e-Up! to reach #8, while the Audi A3 e-Tron is now #15.
There has been always a different EV Sales leader in each passing year since 2009 (Think EV '09; Volvo C30 Electric '10; Mitsu I-Miev '11; Prius Plug-in '12; Volvo V60 Plug-In '13), and this year is not an exception, with the Mitsu Outlander PHEV winning by several miles (45% Share!) to the competition, leaving the last year leader in a distant Second, while the best pure electric car comes in Third, the Nissan Leaf collects for the second time this title, while it had won its third consecutive Bronze Medal.
Looking at the brands ranking, thanks to its SUV, Mitsubishi wins easily the title from Volvo (#2 with 15%), while Renault ends again in Third, this time with 11% share.
In 2015 the Mitsu Outlander PHEV should be the first to renew the Best Seller title, but it has to keep an eye on the VW Golf GTE, while Volvo and Tesla will try to erode its domination thanks to their new AWD offerings. As for sales predictions, i would go with some 6k-7k units, a slower growth percentage-wise, but a significant one nevertheless.
