How To Switch On and Customize 'Do Not Disturb' on iPhone

'Do Not Disturb' is a great tool on iPhone. It's a feature to switch on at night, so you don't get woken up by some email, random call, or push alert.

It's also great for when you're at a event or place, maybe like at the cinemas, in a meeting, or a church, for example -- where you wouldn't want your iPhone to suddenly start making noise.

Sure, you could just switch your iPhone to 'Silent', but 'Do Not Disturb' will make sure you are not bothered while doing something important. And then, all your notifications will be waiting for you, when your ready for them.

Customizing 'Do Not Disturb' Settings on iPhone.

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Tap Do Not Disturb

3. You can switch on Do Not Disturb manually or set a schedule.

4. Allow Calls From setting allows you to set if you want calls from; Everyone, No One, or Favorite Contacts to ring even when Do Not Disturb is switched on.

5. Set whether you want Repeated Calls to come through, that is, a second call from the same number within three minutes.

6. Silence is the setting for if you want calls and notifications to come through if you're currently using your iPhone while Do Not Disturb is switched on.

That's the Settings for Do Not Disturb. If you want to use Do Not Disturb manually, you can quickly access the on/off switch in Control Center. Just swipe up from the bottom of the screen and tap the crescent moon button.
