Spring Leaf Edition

The arrival of warm Spring days woke up the EV market in Spain, with 178 units sold last month, sales have risen spectacularly regarding the same month last year (Only 45 units then), but registrations had a little help from a 60 Leaf fleet deal in the Baleares Islands...

Thanks to that fleet deal, the Nissan Leaf manages to break its personal record, by registering 96 units in a single month (Best result ever for a highway capable vehicle and the best since the Twizy fever in 2012), recovering the YTD First Spot from the BMW i3, while the Mitsu Outlander PHEV made its best performance of the year, selling 23 units and jumping three positions to #2.

Last year runner-up, the Renault Zoe, on the other hand, is still #6 in the chart, are Spanish consumers waiting for the R240 version?.

Looking at the rest of the YTD table, the Kia Soul EV registers its first units of the year, with reports throughout the world saying that consumers are waiting several months for their funky Soul EV's, it would be nice if Kia started to make them in more significant numbers...

On the manufacturers ranking, Nissan left the competition miles away (It has now 45% Share), followed by Renault (18%), and Mitsubishi (11%).
