This is the most stable Rom for Redmi 1s as I have tried many other ROMs. It will update your OS to 4.4.4 Kitkat and many other features.

How To Flash Rom....
Use Twrp For Flashing This Rom(Recommended)
1. Store the downloaded ROM.zip onto your SD card.( don't unzip the ROM).
2.Now boot your device into recovery.
See how to boot into recovery here.
FOR CWM.
Backup your stock ROM.Go to backup and restore
Click on backup.
A. Go to wipe data/factory reset.
B. Go to advanced wipe dalvik cache.
C. Now wipe cache partition.
D. Go to mounts and storage format everything except USB storage and SD card.
E. Now click on install zip.
F. Now navigate to the folder where u have stored the custom rom.
G. Wait for ROM to install.
Now don't reboot
First wipe dalvik cache and wipe cache partition.
First and second boot may take more time than usual so don't panic。
For TWRP.
Backup your stock ROM.Go to backup and restore
Swipe to backup.
1. Factory reset your device through TWRP.
2. Go to install zip.
3. Navigate to the folder where u have stored custom rom.
4. Wait for ROM to install.
5. Wipe cache.
6. Reboot into system.
First and second boot may take more time than usual so don't panic。
