As opposed to prior terms, Apple will now pay their artists during free trial periods of Apple Music. Previously, if a user had a trial, the song they played wouldn't be paid for by Apple. After a message from Taylor Swift telling Apple that she won't put her albums on Apple Music unless Apple changes their terms. Eddie Cue spoke out publicly on Twitter.
