Austria July 2015 (BEV Only)

Model S Smashes The Competition Edition

Only BEV data is available, but nevertheless, the numbers remain comparable with last year with BEV Share above 0,5%.

Looking at the models ranking, the Tesla Model S dwarfed again the competition, selling 67 units, its second best performance ever, this is an impressive result considering its the first month of the Quarter, which is usually the slowest selling for Tesla. The previous best score in a first Quarter month for Tesla was 18 units, registered last April, so next September promises another smashing result for the Model S, 100 units seem like a given, the question is how much more will the american car add to it?

Looking at the rest of the competition, the numbers are much smaller and unremarkable, the Renault Zoe was the second best selling model (19 units), reinforcing its runner-up status, while the #3 Nissan Leaf had its worst performance in a year, registering just three units.

Good performance for the  BMW i3 (15 units) and Kia Soul EV (13 sales), while the VW e-Up! sales are on a negative trend, down 73%, with the cheeky city car down five positions regarding last year, to #8. I think its time for a price cut, don't you think VW?

Looking at the manufacturers ranking, Tesla (28% Share) just keeps on increasing the lead  (3% more share over last month) over the #2 Renault (20%), #3 Nissan (14%) and #4 VW (14%), regarding these last two, the japanese is losing ground, with both companies now only separated by just three units.
