According to ASE, the company who manufactures the S1 chip has provided insight as to how many Apple Watches have been sold in the second quarter of 2015. Apparently, Apple Watch has not met expectations. This is contradicting to Apple stating that Apple Watch "exceeded expectations." Of course, it should be mentioned that the statistics are from ASE, not Apple. ASE probably takes a smaller slice of the Apple Watch's profits than Apple.
"The shortfall of Apple Watch is a disappointment. We came in with a low expectation but below break-even still surprised us."
