Assuming you purchased a new Huawei P8 smartphone, the first operation to click your mind is installing TWRP recovery on the smartphone, and rooting follows.
Installation of TWRP recovery on Huawei P8 smartphone renders administrative option on the smartphone, thereby, letting you root the smartphone, and also flash custom roms on the smartphones. However, once your smartphone becomes rooted, there would be improved RAM management and special apps would be compatible with the smartphone.
Previously, I published a simple guide on how to root Huawei P8, and I got few complains about the rooting method not working on some Huawei P8 smartphone, so I decided to write a general method, that would definitely work on all Huawei P8 smartphones.
In this guide, I would walk you through the process on how to install TWRP recovery and root Huawei P8 smartphones.
Before you begin the rooting process, first download Huawei USB drivers on your computer, then enable USB debugging on your Huawei honor 6smartphone, go to settings >> developers option. If developer’s option isn’t visible on your Huawei device, simply go to about phone under settings and scroll down to build number, then tap build number up to 7 times to make developers option visible.
2. After that, extract the files from the zipped folder.
3. Now, from the extracted file, run command prompt under the recovery’s.img.
4. Run the following commands:
NB: the above commands performs a specific function, abd bootloader is to boot your device to bootloader mode, fastboot device is to check if the fastboot is working fine, cd desktop changes the directory of command prompt to desktop, while fastboot flash recovery is to flash or install TWRP on your Huawei P8 smartphone.
That’s it. The TWRP recovery image would be installed on your Huawei P8 smartphone.
Once you’ve installed TWRP recovery on your Huawei P8 device, then rooting it would be pretty much easier.
Step 2: Now, switch off your device and boot to recovery mode (press and hold Volume Down button + press Power button).
Step 3: After that, go to the recover main menu, then choose install, then select the SuperSU file and install immediately.
Step 4: Once the flashing process is completed, simply reboot your device via the recovery main menu.
That’s it. Your device would be completely rooted. You can make use of root checker app to verify if your Huawei P8 smartphone is rooted.
