Switzerland July 2015 (Updated)

Time to Breathe Edition

After four months with consecutive sales records(!), July registered 613 units, dropping 121 units regarding June, but it was still the second best selling month ever, so despite taking a little time to breathe, this is still a fast-expanding market.

Tesla recorded an almost-record 199 units performance, and counting 837 sales this year, it is fast approaching the numbers of Audi A6 (1.159 units), BMW 5-Series (1.183 units) and Merc E-Class (1.007). This is even more impressive considering that there aren't significant incentives giving Tesla a special leverage.

Below the poster child Tesla, the BMW i3 (63 units) continues in Second, while the VAG cousins Golf GTE and A3 e-Tron are next, relegating the Zoe to #5 and the Mitsu Outlander PHEV to a rather disappointing #6.

In the manufacturers ranking, Tesla leads with 23%, while Second Place BMW (16%)  is being threatened by Volkswagen, with 15% share.
