In this guide, I would briefly walk you through the process on how to install rooted android 5.1.1 lollipop stock rom on xperia z ultra.

Before you get started?
  • The ROM only works on Xperia Z Ultra C6806, any other variants outside this might brick your device
  • Installation of custom recovery also needed, simply download xzrecovery apk app from here, and install.
  • Try to take a nandroid backup of your device.
  • A computer is needed, so you can transfer the downloaded ROM file to the storage of your device.
How to Install?
  • Firstly, download the Stock Android 5.1.1 ROM from here or here, and move to the storage of your device.
  • Boot your device to recovery mode via the recovery app you installed by tapping reboot recovery within the app.
  • Once you get to the recovery mode, simply perform a full system wipe (Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache Partition and then Wipe Dalvik Cache/ART cache from advanced section).
