[AOSP] How to Install Android Marshmallow 6.0 on Moto G 3rd Generation

Android Marshmallow is now official and Its only available for Few devices officially . Android 6.0 Marshmallow Sources are out so developers can easily make Marshmallow Roms for the compatible devices .



Now you can unofficially update Moto G 3rd Generation ( osprey ) to Android 6.0 Marshmallow ( AOSP ) . Thanks to scritch007 ( XDA developer ) For making 6.0 Marshmallow for Moto G 3rd Generation .

This Rom has some bugs so it is not suitable for daily use , so however you can flash this custom rom on Moto G 3rd Generation for testing Android 6.0 Marshmallow .

Bugs - No SDcard , No Wifi , No Data , Build is eng build so you'll have the red blink zone.

Prerequisite - 
  • You must be have rooted Moto G 3rd Generation .
  • You should have TWRP 2.8.6.2 and higher on Moto G 3rd Generation . ( If not - Download Here )

How to update Moto G 3rd Generation to Android 6.0 Marshmallow - 


Step 1. Download AOSP 6.0.0_r1 Custom Build From below .

Step 2. Boot to TWRP recovery .

Step 3. Wipe System , Data , Cache and Dakvik Cache ,

Step 4. Select Install Zip from SDcard and Select AOSP 6.0 Marshmallow zip that you downloaded following Step 1 .

Step 5. Now Boot to Fastboot mode 

Step 6. Flash Image_new ( Download from below ) from fastboot , It is same procedure of flashing a twrp recovery  ( Follow This - Flash a twrp recovery on Moto G 2015 )
