Cyanogenmod 12.1 Xperia Mix ROM is now made available for Infinix Zero and Zero 2 users. This ROM is an Android 5.1 Lollipop based ROM and comes with Xperia skin, highly customizable and lovely Xperia UI.
In this post, I would walk you through the process on how to install Cyanogenmod 12.1 (Xperia Mix) on Infinix Zero and Zero 2 devices.
Before you proceed, make sure that you’ve full backup of your data, also perform a nandroid backup for your device, so once you encounter any problem, it would be easy for you to move back to stock recovery.
Step 2: After that, download Cyanogenmod 12.1 rom from here, and move the downloaded files to the internal storage of your infinix device.
Step 3: Now, switch off your device and boot to recovery mode (press and hold Volume Down button + press Power button).
Step 4: Once you get to the recovery mode, simply perform a full system wipe (Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache Partition and then Wipe Dalvik Cache/ART cache from advanced section).
Step 5: After that, go to the recover main menu, then select install , then select the Cyanogenmod 12.1 rom Zip file and install immediately.
Step 6: Once the installation process is completed, simply go back main recovery menu and tap on Reboot system, and your device would be rebooted.
Once your device is rebooted successfully, you would begin to experience the Cyanogenmod 12.1 (Xperia Mix) rom on your Infinix Zero and Infinix Zero 2 devices.
One cool advantage about this ROM is that, it features both Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with some pre-installed Sony Xperia apps.
