New characters announced for Project X Zone 2

As someone who was a big fan of the first game, I have been following the announcements for Project X Zone 2 quite closely. Here is some of the more recent news about the game.


Presser:

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. announced new playable characters for their upcoming strategy title, Project X Zone 2, available exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS system on February 16, 2016. Project X Zone 2 combines franchise characters from three of the most revered Japanese video game companies; SEGA, CAPCOM, and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment to create the largest crossover strategy game ever conceived.

The new assets available for download include new screen shots and video highlighting the ever-expanding roster of great playable characters from these storied Japanese video game giants including:

CAPCOM
Ingrid from the Street Fighter Alpha series

SEGA
Ryo Hazuki from Shenmue

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment
Estelle from Tales of Vesperia

Developed by MONOLITH SOFTWARE INC, Project X Zone 2 gives gamers the opportunity to play as their favorite characters from a multitude of franchises including the “TEKKEN” series, TALES OF VESPERIA, and “.hack//” series from BANDAI NAMCO; the “Resident Evil” series, “Devil May Cry” series, and “Megaman X” series from CAPCOM as well as YAKUZA: Dead Souls, the “Sakura Wars” series, and “Virtua Fighter” series from SEGA, with many others to be revealed. Players will form teams of characters hailing from these classic series’ and engage enemies through strategic turn-based battles.
