The new, more aggressive-looking Outlander PHEV |
Outlander PHEV #1!
339 units were sold last month, the second best score of the year, with sales up 42% YoY, the spanish EV market is recovering in the second half of the year, with EV Share now at 0,22%, still 0,01% below last year, but let's not forget that the local automotive market is growing fast and still recovering from the last years of economic crisis.
For the first time ever, a Plug-in hybrid is the YTD best seller in Spain, with the Mitsu Outlander PHEV (88 units last month, personal record) displacing the Nissan Leaf from the Top Spot, while also becoming the first PHEV to reach such position in a southern european market.
But changes didn't stopped there, both the BMW i3 and Renault Zoe jumped two positions, to Third and Fourth, respectively, with both separated by just five units, it looks that the Bronze medal will also offer an entertaining fight.
After two months in the two digit area, the Golf GTE slumped to just four units sold, mmm...Does this have anything to do with it?
A number of models have landed last month, the BMW X5 Plug-in registered its first three units, while the Ford Focus Electric and Peugeot iOn are back after a one hiatus.
On the manufacturers ranking, there was also a leadership change, with Renault back at Numero Uno, although the former leader Nissan is only four units away. Third is Mitsubishi keeping a close eye on the Fourth, BMW.
