Model S #2 and Golf GTE Jumps to #5
The Swedish EV market is once again pressing on the accelerator, registering 603 units, 51% above the same month last year, improving also over this years August (587 units) and July (559) months.
The EV Share is at 2.16%, a full half percent above last year result (1.66%).
The Outlander PHEV continues leading the Monthly ranking, something it has been doing since November '13, something the Tesla Model S is trying to emulate for #2, the Fremont-made EV was Second for the fourth month in a row, this time with 85 units, a result somewhat below expectations, especially considering the results of their direct competitors: The Audi A6 sold 376 units last month in Sweden, the BMW 5-Series registered 373 units and the Mercedes E-Class, 209. There's a lot room to grow, Tesla...
In other news, the Volvo V60 Plug-In returned to a Top 5 position, in...#5, the swedish estate had been out of the first positions since June.

The impressive VW Golf GTE jumped to #5, an impressive performance considering that it has been in the market for only four months, winning the Rookie Of The Year title without any shadow of a doubt.
On the manufacturers ranking, there weren't any significant changes, with Mitsubishi on top (29%), Nissan in Second with 18% share and Tesla in Third, with 13%, with Volkswagen dangerously close in Fourth, with 12%.
Regarding the BEV/PHEV share, pure electrics continue to overrun (51/49) Plug-in Hybrids, but PHEV's recovered 2% share, thanks to the good performance of the Golf GTE.
