You can no longer downgrade from iOS 9.1 as Apple has stopped signing iOS 9.0.2

Apple has stopped signing all versions of iOS 9.0.2 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch this afternoon. As always, the closing of this signing window makes downgrading to this software version impossible.

This can be confirmed by visiting ipsw.me, a website that provides real-time signing status for iOS firmware files. Green tick means that Apple is still signing the firmware file, and red warning sign indicates Apple has stopped signing the firmware file.

This doesn’t come as a surprise as for the last few years, Apple has used this strategy to keep jailbreakers at bay. It not only releases new software updates that fixes vulnerabilities used by the jailbreaks, it also stops signing the older iOS firmware file, which prevents users from downgrading back to the older iOS version that can be jailbroken.
