Have you been to The Crazy Bites over at SS15 Subang Jaya yet? I must say, even before I set foot into the outlet, I already like the place. Probably due to the bright colours and that cute purple mascot they call the Kirikuru. Located at a bustling corner in SS15, it's really easy to spot this two storey restaurant serving some delectable western cuisine and burgers.

Brightly lit interior, with purple, pink and yellow being the bright colours used |
It's just INCRAZIBLE! |
Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, the interior and colours of The Crazy Bites really was a feast for the eyes. It was vibrant, upbeat and quirky especially with the pink purplish mascot named Kirikuru's image donning every nook and corners of the eatery. In fact, I even got myself one of their plush toys, doubling the fun.
Welcome to The Crazy Bites! |
Outdoor balcony seating |
The interior of The Crazy Bites was vibrant, colourful, upbeat, quirky. The pink mascot named Kirikuru donned almost all corners of the shop lot giving this place a cheerful vibe. The second floor has an outdoor balcony seating for smokers to enjoy their meal. They have thoughtfully installed a sliding glass door & divider to separate the indoor air-conditioned area and open outdoor seating.
Goat Bites (Lamb) - RM16.80 |
Suitably seated, we went straight ahead to order their signature burgers, the first being the delicious Goat Bites. We had these thick lamb patties, which were done just right without the overbearing lamb smell. The meat patties is served in between two herbs buns, we had the crispy deep fried onion rings, lettuce and cheese. Served with sweet potato fries and soft drinks for an additional RM3, its a steal. Love the sweet potato fries.
Apple Mushroom Bites - RM13.80 |
Ox Bites |
Subsequently we had two different types of burgers, from the very meaty Ox Bites to the vegetarian Apple Mushroom Bites. Now this is a rather unique vegetarian delight featuring crunchy slice of apple, with mushrooms cooked till moist & tender.
Crazy Seafood Pizza - RM14.80 |
Crazy Mushroom Pizza - RM12.80 |
Up next we had The Crazy Bites' thin crust pizzas, in the form of the Crazy Seafood Pizza and Crazy Mushroom Pizza. It comes in an interesting oblong shape instead of the usual circular pizza. The seafood pizza is loaded with prawns, squid, mussels & cheese, perfect for those into seafood delights. If you love mushrooms then you will like the mushroom pizza as it comes with generous servings of mushrooms.
Crazy Hawaiian Chicken Pizza - RM14.80 |
For the more conservative ones like myself, I will almost always go for the chicken dishes, and it's nice to know they serve some really nice Crazy Hawaiian Chicken Pizza too. Loaded with cheese, chicken pieces, and onions, you must try this dish.
Calamari Rings - RM13.80 |
Beautiful calamari rings on a pan |
Another really nice snack to munch on at The Crazy Bites would be their Calamari Rings. Similar to the crispy onion rings, it comes with sauce by the side, in crispy to the bite batter. I always wonder how they get it to be so crispy on the outside without getting soft with time.
Jacket Potato - RM13.80 |
Simple yet so satisfying, do try out their Jacket Potato. Freshly baked potatoes cut into half, with lots of cheese and marinara sauce on top, you're bound to be satisfied with this dish. Of course, taken with the other nice dishes from The Crazy Bites, I was a bit too stuffed in the end to really enjoy these potatoes.
Seafood Aglio Olio - RM15.80 |
Lamb Kofta Pasta - RM16.80 |
If you're craving for some nice pasta and spaghetti dishes, then do try out their Seafood Aglio-olio and Lamb Kofta Pasta. The Seafood aglio olio came served in a rather nice presentation with huge Prawns, Squids and Mussels, not too heavy. The Lamb Kofta Pasta on the other hand is a pretty heavy dish, grilled minced lamb patty topped with melted cheese with tomato coulis on pasta.
Johan's Nasi Lemak - RM13.80 |
For some local cuisine, The Crazy Bites had these yummy Johan's Nasi Lemak, made to order. The rice itself came in a rather green hue, as it is infused with pandan flavour. The rice came together with fried chicken, hard boiled eggs, sambal, anchovies, peanuts & sliced cucumber. I think the sambal is really good, and went really well with the rice and chicken. Good stuff.
Valrhona Chocolate Milkshake - RM12.80 |
Mango Milkshake - RM13.80 |
Sweet, creamy milkshakes, my favourite. I had a couple of it when I was at The Crazy Bites, trying two very strong yet distinctively different milkshakes, namely the Valrhona Chocolate Milkshake and the Mango Milkshake. Thick, sweet and satisfying, be warned you may get very bloated after having these goodies.
Two KiriKurus happily snapping food pictures too at The Crazy Bites! |
So the next time you're in the vicinity of SS15 Subang Jaya, make sure to drop by The Crazy Bites for some delicious food, with a happy ambiance. My first time over there was a good one, will definately go back there again for some noms.
