Accenture in the Philippines shared its insights on the three strategies for a high-velocity, software-driven business during the recent SoftCon.ph 2015 conference. The company’s participation in the event highlights its commitment to continuously collaborate with the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA) in expanding the industry knowledge of IT professionals on key technology trends that are helping transform businesses into future-ready organizations.

Chucky Castro, managing director, platform capability lead for Accenture, discussed Accenture’s Future of Applications research, zeroing in on Liquid, Intelligent, and Connected application strategies. In his presentation, Castro emphasized that software is now a disruptive force in every industry. He added that it is fundamental for companies to change the way they build software by having a cloud-first, mobile-first mindset. He then talked about the importance of harnessing software intelligence and extending company boundaries through software by leveraging on the Internet of Things.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Faigmani, senior project manager for mobile application development at Accenture, joined the panel discussion about “Going Mobile” that focused on the importance of innovation in order to deliver products and services to a mobile-centric world.

An Accenture booth was set up during the two-day SoftCon.ph 2015 event where IT professionals were encouraged to take part in an interactive Mind Sweeper and Social Media Challenge. Daily winners got the chance to bring home some brand new tablets, mobile phones, powerbanks, and even Accenture jackets.
