The Sony Xperia Z is an android device running on Android 4.4 kitkat out of the box, and can be upgraded to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system via OTA. However, upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now available for Sony Xperia Z via AOSP ROM.
The AOSP Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM, is a custom ROM based on the Android marshmallow, with perfect design, and some other great features. But at this time, the ROM is not stable, as there would be bug fixes in the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Sony Xperia Z.
