A month after the launch of the Red subscription, YouTube is already in the Top 10 most profitable apps.
We know for some time that YouTube was going to offer a premium service. And in October, the platform Google's YouTube formalized Red subscription. For now, this subscription is only available in the United States. And it already seems that the premium version of YouTube is about to become a success.
As a free application, YouTube has always been one of the most downloaded applications from the App Store, but not the most profitable applications of this shop. However, a month after the launch of YouTube in the US Red, YouTube is is already among the 10 most profitable applications.
So far, Google has not yet settled how much it means to Red subscribers. But these first information revealed by the App Store shows that its efforts have paid off. When Google launched YouTube Red, it suggested users to test this subscription free for a month. And today, it seems that many testers were convinced (or at least, have forgotten to cancel the subscription after the trial month).
Anyway, the offer pay as YouTube offers with Red subscription is very interesting and it offers more than a subscription of Apple Music or Spotify, for the same price (or almost).
Red YouTube video provides access to the platform without seeing advertisements, save the videos so they can be read when the device is online and see series that are available only to Red subscribers.
But in addition to this, YouTube has also launched an application called YouTube Music. It is free, however, only Red Subscribers can download songs and listen to background music as Spotify (or audio-only mode).
And that's not all because this subscription also includes premium access to Google Play Music service (although if you already have a YouTube Music with Red subscription, it no longer serves much).
