Sporting a handsome chassis, a bright display and in-your-face audio without skimping on performance, the Lenovo Y700 won my love at first sight.

Well on the other side of it Lenovo could have done better with the battery which has a relatively short life if you ask me.

THE DESIGN
I can't really say why but the design of the Lenovo Y700 gives me the feeling that more attention was paid to performance than design. That's not to say the Lenovo Y700 isn't classy anyway. But I don't feel too comfortable with the "red and black" which appears to be the colour scheme of this gaming laptop. Shouldn't that be my business anyways?
In terms of ports and connectivity the Lenovo Y700 has enough ports to satisfy your mobile gaming needs. On the right, there are two USB 3.0 ports, a full HDMI port, an expanding Gigabit Ethernet port and a secure lock slot. Along the left sits a USB 2.0 port, a 4-in-1 card reader, a combination headphone/microphone jack and Lenovo's proprietary DC adapter port.
GENERAL PERFORMANCE
I have a feeling you will like the performance of this notebook a great deal especially if you are into hard PC gaming or perhaps just need a strong business laptop.
My review unit of the Lenovo Y700 sports a 2.6-GHz Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor withb16GB of RAM; a 1TB, 5,400-rpm hard drive with a 128GB SSD; an Intel HD Graphics 530 GPU; and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M GPU with 4GB of VRAM. This translated into excellent hardcore performance as I had upto 20 tabs opened in Google Chrome without a lag.
