According to the website Bloomberg, it appears that Google paid about US $ 1 billion to Apple in 2014 in order that Google will be the default search engine on iOS. It should be noted that Google has signed an agreement with Apple, which stipulates that Google pay Apple a percentage of the revenue that has been collected through searches that were on iOS devices. Apparently, Apple get 34% of the revenue generated from searches on iOS devices.
Google's lawyer tried to remove the 34% number from court records, but the trial judge refused to remove this number. But it is interesting that Apple has criticized Google about privacy when it comes to search, however, was happy to receive revenue from Google when the latter used its search engine on its operating platform iOS.
