VAIO Z, VAIO Z Flip, VAIO S notebooks are designed for business


VAIO, Sony's former PC brand, launched four new laptops - VAIO Z Flip, a 2-in-1 convertible, VAIO Z, VAIO S13 and S15. The laptops are designed for business use and comes with light weight design. The machines run on Windows 10 Pro.

The Vaio Z Flip convertible sports a 13.3-inch WQHD IPS touchscreen dipslay with a rotating screen mechanism that allows it to transform into a tablet. It is powered by 3.3-inch 6th-gen Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris 550 Graphics, 8GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB SSD. It also has an active digitizer with support for pressure-sensitive pen input. There is a 720p webcam and 8-megapixel rear camera.

For wireless connectivity, it supports WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, and includes 2 x USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, SD card reader and a 3.5mm audio combo jack. It offers up to 11.5 hours of battery life

The Vaio Z is a laptop with 13.3-inch non touch screen display that comes either in WQHD or Full HD options, and runs for 15.5 hours on a single charge. It has the same configuration as VAIO Z Flip.
The VAIO S series, comprising of S13 and S15 has a elegant design and a configuration more affordable then VAIO Z and Z Flip, that does not mean cheaper. The VAIO S13 comes with 13.3-inch Full HD display, Intel Skylake processors, at least 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 3 x USB 3.0 ports Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac WiFI, Bluetooth 4.1, and SDXC card slots. The VAIO S15 is larger an a bit more powerful, with 8GB RAM, 1TB storage, HDMI and VGA ports

The laptops will be available to pre-order by February 8. They will be available to purchase by early March 2016 via VAIO and Microsoft online stores, as well as select retailers. Prices start at $1,499 for the VAIO Z, $1,799 for the VAIO Z Flip and $1,099 for the VAIO S.
