Last month, Lenovo revealed that the iconic Motorola brand name would be replaced by "Moto by Lenovo" branding. Now a couple of images claimed to show the Moto X (2016) and Moto G (2016) have surfaced. The source claims to have got their hands on these photos from a fabrication facility and the units seen are prototype models.
As seen in the image, the Moto G (2016) and Moto X (2016) appears to be similar to the current gen Moto G and Moto X 2015, however, they sport a slightly slimmer design than their predecessors. The Moto logo is placed on the back panel.
The phones in these images with metal body (with iPhone 5s like back panel)could be the high-end Moto X 2016, while the second batch of more colorful units are Moto G 2016. One of the back covers of the next Moto G shows Lenovo branding at the bottom. Like the older Motorola devices, users will also be able to change the rear cover of the Moto 2016 devices with different colors, said the report.
As for Lenovo's 2016 plan for Motorola, last month CEO Yuanqing Yang said that the brand will launch new Moto smartphone in July this years. Yang also said that the new Moto phones would be more attractive and innovative, than the previous Moto offerings.
