Apple is focused on pushing its fourth-generation Apple TV with the Siri Remote and built-in App Store, but that doesn’t mean the company has forgotten about owners of the older third-generation Apple TVs.
Thursday, a minor over-the-air software update was released for the $69 third-generation Apple TV.
The update should be available now for those who still own the third-generation Apple TV. If you do notice anything new within the software, let us know in the comments below.
Although this particular software update for the third-generation Apple TV has the same version number as the previous one (iOS 8.4.1), the build number has changed to “12H523” so this tells us that the update is most likely focused on under-the-hood improvements, bug fixes and other internal changes.
