Apple said to unveil new 4-inch iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3 and new Apple Watch bands on March 15

Sources of 9to5Mac claims that Apple is looking to hold an event on March 15th next month to unveil the iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3 and new bands for the Apple Watch.

“As the scheduled event is still a month-and-a-half away, the date could conceivably still shift or turn into an online announcement,” cautioned Gurman.

iPhone 5se
If the rumors are accurate, the iPhone 5se should give customers who prefer smaller form factors something to be excited about. The handset will have a four-inch screen like the iPhone 5s, but run Apple’s in-house designed 64-bit A9 chip.

It is likely that the highlight of the event will be the 4-inch iPhone 5se that will replace the existing iPhone 5s in Apple’s lineup. The handset will sport a design that is similar to the iPhone 6, if leaks are to be believed, and will sport an A9 chip and M9 motion co-processor.

Other features in tow for the iPhone 5se: NFC for Apple Pay, enhanced cameras and Live Photos. The device will be priced the same as the iPhone 5s, according to Gurman’s sources, starting at $450 for 16GB (a 64GB model will also be offered).

iPad Air 3

As for the iPad Air 3, it is expected to be a smaller variant of the iPad Pro and feature four stereo speakers. It is rumored to come with up to 4GB RAM, better battery life and an LED flash for the rear camera. Case and diagram leaks also point towards the iPad Air 3 coming with a Smart Connector, similar to what we have seen on the iPad Pro. For the Apple Watch, Apple is expected to launch new color options for Sport Bands, a Space Black version of the Milanese Loop, and a new lineup of band made from a new material.
