AT&T offering up to $650 to entice folks to switch carriers

The United States wireless carrier AT&T on Monday launched a new promotion that entices people with up to $650 in credit per line to leave their carrier and switch over to the AT&T service.

The Big Blue carrier has announced a new switcher promotion that sees the carrier offering up to $650 for those that leave their carrier and switch over to AT&T. To get the credit, you’ll first need to port over your old number from Verizon, Sprint, or T-Mobile to AT&T, and buy a new phone from AT&T Next. You will also have to trade in your old network smartphone, and send in your final bill from the old carrier to AT&T.

After you’ve done all that, you’ll receive a Visa prepaid card with up to $650 to cover your old installment plans or early termination fees, minus the value of your trade-in phone.

The switcher promotion by itself is fine enough, especially in light of what the other carriers are offering. However, AT&T announced a new buy one, get one promotion for new customers (and existing ones), which means you can actually get your second line free, along with covering the fees to make the switch in the first place.

Anyone switching to AT&T?
