Noida based startup Ringing Bells sub-brand Bell has launched the cheapest 4G LTE enabled smartphone in India. Dubbed Smart 101, the handset is priced at just Rs. 2,999 and can be purchased from the company website. As the said the price the phone packs enough specs to give competition to any smartphone around the Rs. 5,000 mark.
The dual SIM phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. It is fueled by 2800mAh battery, that offers 10 hours of talk-time on 3G network and 8 hours of talk-time on 4G networks.
Ringing Bells was established in 2015, and is headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh and has a complete in-house product testing set-up in Noida. Besides Smart 101 smartphone, Bell's product portfolio also includes two feature phones - Master and 4u, priced at Rs. 999 and Rs. 799 respectively, and also a 5600mAh power bank called Kiwi priced at Rs. 399.
