It’s that time again!

February is looking to be a bit heavier in releases which is great because there are some releases on this list that have been a long time in coming. From the newest entry of Neptunia over to the battlefields with the Prince Arslan it should be a good month.

Tuesday February 2nd

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth

Sony PlayStation 4

I'm going to date myself with this comment but growing up with Digimon, Pokemon, and Monster Rancher was awesome. With the original cast currently back for another anime run only makes it that much better.

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth takes a different approach and follows a new story in which will involve RPG elements and raising your own Digimon in order to battle a group of hackers.

Megadimension Neptunia VII

Sony PlayStation 4

My personal 2016 is comprised of playing two particular entries. Megadimension Neptunia VII is the first of the two. Coming out tomorrow the long wait for the sequel to Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is here!
Now everyone can once again bask in the glory of her Lady Greenheart! Sorry Nick but I'm writing this article and Noire already got her own game.

XCOM 2

PC

XCOM 2 sees the return of the series in a sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown. This is honestly a series that I need to dive into as the Tactical Turned Based Strategy is a style that I absolutely love. Here's a bit more on the premise:

"Twenty years have passed since world leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces and XCOM, the planet's last line of defense, was left decimated and scattered. Now the aliens rule Earth, building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface, while concealing a sinister agenda below and eliminating all who dissent from their new order.Only those who live at the edges of the world have a margin of freedom. Here, a force gathers once again to stand up for humanity. Always on the run, the remnant XCOM forces must find a way to rise from the ashes, expose the insidious truth behind the occupation, and eliminate the alien threat once and for all."

Tuesday February 9th

Alekhine's Gun

Sony PlayStation 4
Microsoft Xbox One
PC

I am honestly going to let this one speak for itself but it looks good.

Experience the Paranoia and Thrill of Cold War Espionage
Featuring high-stakes and choice-based stealth gameplay, Alekhine's Gun puts players in the shoes of KGB colonel turned CIA spy, Agent Alekhine as he finds himself tangled in a conspiracy that could have global consequences.

Alekhine's Gun takes you deep into the tense, complex heart of the mid-20th century Eastern Bloc conflict, where you'll encounter double-crossing, treachery, and looming nuclear threats. Unravel the conspiracy. Uncover the truth. Save the world.

Arslan: The Warriors of Legend

Sony PlayStation 4
Microsoft Xbox One

Being big fans of Tecmo Koei and Omega Force anytime there is a new project from them is cause for excitement.

Taking a step outside of their normal styles like they've done with Nintendo / Zelda and Square / Dragon Quest, welcome to something brand new. Based on the series that started in 1986 follow Arslan, a price of a country being invaded by religious zealots, who fights back with some of the most incredible and loyal peoples by his side.

The only thing that I need now is more chapters of the manga to be released!

Assassin's Creed Chronicles

Sony PlayStation 4
Microsoft Xbox One

Assassin's Creed Chronicles in a subset of the series designed in a 2.5 style instead of the full blown epic 3D versions. With the first entry of China having already been released as well as India just earlier last month, Chronicles will feature both of these as well as Russia which releases on this date.

Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition

Sony PlayStation 4
Microsoft Xbox One
PC

Not ever having dived into Dying Light, here's the premise behind the newest version:

"Dying Light: The Following is a massive expansion to Dying Light and the untold chapter of Kyle Crane’s story. Take to a vast new area that will transform your Dying Light experience through new game mechanics, environments and challenges on top of the established core of what made Dying Light a break away success for millions of players around the globe."

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

Sony PlayStation 4
Microsoft Xbox One

The Shinobi are back and possibly their last installment into the Ninja Storm series as it covers the final Arcs of the manga that finished not all that long ago. With a variety of significant changes this last dive into the world of Ninjas is looking good.

I wouldn't overly worried for fans of the series as Naruto's son has his own manga now!

Tuesday February 16th

Bayonetta 2

Nintendo WiiU

So this is a bit of a weird one. Having already come out, Bayonetta 2 is getting a re-release as a stand alone version for the Wii U in which it won't contain the port of the original version.

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright / Conquest

Nintendo 3DS

Having gone the way of Pokemon and MegaMan Battlenetwork / Star Force, Fire Emblem is seeing a multi-release for the newest entry into the series original titled IF in Japan.
Interestingly enough, unlike the other series which change a special ability or ally to bring aboard, Brightright and Conquest offer completely different experiences. Buying one will allow for the other to be acquired at a reduced price over the Nintendo eShop.
The only thing left to decide is your path.

Street Fighter V

Sony PlayStation 4
Microsoft Xbox One

Street Fighter is back for a brand new entry! With new fighters to the series as well as long time veterans dive back into this long running 2D Arcade Fighter later this month!

Project X Zone 2

Nintendo 3DS

The crazy crossover ride is back. With characters from Bandai, Capcom, and Sega, join up a multidimensional affair with the likes of Ryu, X, Dante, Phoenix Wright, Haseo and more!

Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale

Nintendo 3DS

The 3DS this month is seeing a slew of titles being released. Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale is a cross over between Story of Seasons (Once Harvest Moon but named changed due to the working relationship of the companies being split) and the PoPoLoCrois series which is much more RPG based.

By the looks of it this is shaping up to be a treat for fans of both series!

Tuesday February 23rd

Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders

Sony PlayStation 4
Microsoft Xbox One

Good old Murder Mystery fans are in for a treat this month!

"The ABC Murders is an adventure and investigation game adapted from the classic Agatha Christie novel. You are the famous private detective Hercule Poirot and, once again, you find yourself up against a mysterious serial killer who goes by the name of "ABC".

Far Cry Primal

Sony PlayStation 4
Microsoft Xbox One
PC

The Far Cry series have always looked interesting to me. I know I probably should have played at least ONE of them by now but haven't.

Taking the series in a different direction however from the modern age, Far Cry Primal goes back twelve thousand years to the Mesolithic period. Will you have what it takes to survive without the high powered tech that you are used to? Maybe this'll be my starting point!

Mega Man Legacy Collection Collector's Edition

Nintendo 3DS

I am persoanlly a huge fan of Mega Man which is funny considering my first was the fourth entry. I am glad to see Capcom finally picking back up its iconic Blue Bomber however it would be nice to see a new title soon!

Following in the steps of the larger console versions earlier this year, the collection of the first six titles is out later this month!

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2

Sony PlayStation 4
Microsoft Xbox One

Plants vs Zombies was something else. Plans vs Zombies Battlefield style? It took something else to a whole new level and now both factions are back into the Danger Zone with Garden Warfare 2!
