The HTC Vive is apparently low system requirements for the PC than the Oculus Rift. Still need VR fans for the HTC glasses a powerful graphics card.
After HTC has already betrayed the price of his VR goggles Vive on Sunday, there are now already new information about the headset. So the system requirements are now clearly known which will make the HTC Vive to the computer, reports Digital Trends. These should be somewhat lower than in the Oculus Rift.
Not quite as sophisticated as the Oculus
In fact, the PC requirements fall but very similar to those of the Oculus glasses. So is also the Vive least an Intel Core i5-4590 or an AMD FX 8350 need. Even with the graphics card, the Vive are not frugal than the Rift. Accordingly, at least a GeForce GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon R9 290 will be needed to operate the glasses at the PC. Only in the memory, the HTC model are frugal. So the Vive should be satisfied even with 4GB of RAM, while the Rift requires at least 8 GB RAM.On the part of the operating system at least Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is required. With Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, the glasses should therefore also run. there is so far in support of Linux and Mac systems Nothing appears. However, HTC-Partner Valve should be interested in supporting the competitive platforms to Windows - if only pro forma.
