Huawei MateBook Windows 10 2-in-1 tablet announced


Huawei has announced the MateBook, a laptop/tablet hybrid (or 2-in-1 tablet) with a detachable keyboard and stylus that runs Windows 10. The device is 6.9mm thin, sports a metal unibody design and an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The Huawei MateBook features a 12-inch QHD ((2160 x 1440 pixels) IPS display and and is powered by sixth generation Core m (m3, m5 or m7) processor with 4GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB SSD storage.

The MateBook comes with a 5-megapixel camera and supports WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, and USB 3.0 Type-C connectivity. It packs a 4430mAh battery that promises 10 hours of run-time. It also has a fingerprint sensor that supports 360-degree identification.

The keyboard which doubles up as a case, lets you use the tablet in two positions. The MateBook comes with MatePen stylus pen that offers 2048 level of sensitivity for capturing users’ subtle and diverse pen-tip actions with zero delay.

Huawei is also offering a MateDock docking accessory, that houses Ethernet, HDMI and additional USB connectors. You can use the MateDock to connect the MateBook to TV or monitor and use it with a keyboard and mouse.
