iPhone 7: Better battery thanks electromagnetic shielding?

The iPhone 7 could get better WiFi and a higher battery life thanks to electromagnetic shielding of the components. Apparently Apple plans to shield all the chips inside electromagnetically.

When iPhone 7 Apple could put a stronger electromagnetic shielding of the individual components. While the iPhone 6s only a few components are shielded, all the chips are to be shielded from each other in the smartphone in the future, as 9to5Mac reported, citing a report from ETNews. With such shielding the manufacturers would significantly reduce the electromagnetic interference emanating from the iPhone 7.

Better WiFi by less interference
What may sound rather abstract at first glance, might bring some advantages in practice quite. So less electromagnetic radiation could inter alia optimize WiFi smartphone. This might be necessary if Apple really wants to use less conspicuous antenna strip on the back.

Also, the battery could grow
In addition, the manufacturer could be the components which are electromagnetically shielded from each other to come closer together, thus saving space inside the iPhone. This place could possibly be used for a larger battery or a slimmer design of the iPhone. However, the main focus is likely to be certainly on the improved reception characteristics.

For Apple itself is likely a construction in which the individual chips are electromagnetically shielded, not low. It is also unclear how much of the gain in reception quality, which can be achieved by such a measure. The answer to this question may, however, provide only Apple itself. Not later than the release of the iPhone 7 we will know if the components receive actual electromagnetic shielding.
