Samsung has officially announced that the Galaxy Unpacked 2016 will take place on February 21 in Barcelona ahead of Mobile World Congress 2016 which takes place on Februrary 22. At the event, Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event takes place at CCIB (Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona) on February 21, Sunday and starts at 11.30pm IST. Samsung will also live stream the event on their YouTube channel
Samsung has also outed a 15 minutes teaser video that shows a man wearing the Samsung VR headset and looking at a glowing box. The teaser video also has the #TheNextGalaxy tag and the announcement day, February 21.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will have 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch screen accordingly and will sport Super AMOLED displays at QHD resolution. They will be powered by Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 SoC, depending on the market and come with 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage. For photography they will be equipped with 12-megapixel rear camera with large sensors and f/1.7 aperture. Front facing camera is 5-megapixel. They will also pack larger batteries. The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge batteries will be bumped to 3000mAH (up from 2550mAh) and 3600mAh (up for 2600mAh) respectively.
