It has been witnessed that many people received bricks when they ordered mobile phones or other things from shopping sites. eCommerce portals are good in getting hold on customer’s trust but at the same time they can break the customers trust in no time. Sometimes, eCommerce sites misguide the users by displaying the bulk discounts on the products. However, Indian Student managed to buy iPhone 5S from Snapdeal at just $1 (R.s 68).B.Tech student, Nikhil Bansal studying at Punjabi University saw iPhone 5S 16 GB Gold price at just R.s 68. After that he immediately placed the order on February 12 and was eagerly waiting for the delivery of this smartphone.
However his order was cancelled by the Snapdeal and the mobile was not delivered to him. He decided to move further by filing case against Snapdeal rather than being silent.
He later filed complaint against Snapdeal for refusing to deliver him the iPhone 5S as promised at District Consumer Forum in Punjab. Surprisingly, Nikhil won the case and Snapdeal delivered iPhone 5S to him at the same price i.e R.s 68.
Snapdeal opposed this decision and went further to fight this case. However, they lost this case and were charged R.s 10,000 fine for closing the case.
