We've come across so many rumors of Xiaomi's flagship Mi 5, and now a new rumor coming out of China suggests that Xiaomi might launch a Windows 10 Mobile variant of its upcoming flagship Mi 5, just like the Mi Pad 2, which came in two OS versions - Android and Windows 10.
Apart from the OS, the rest of the specification of the Windows 10 variant would stay the same as the Android variant. This is not surprising, given the history of both Microsoft and Xiaomi. Although the Xiaomi Mi 4 did not come with a production version of Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft released a Windows Mobile ROM for it, and as mentioned above, the Mi Pad 2 comes with a Windows 10 version as well.
The Mi 5 will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 and if the rumor turns out to be true, Xiaomi will become the first smartphone maker to launch a Snapdragon 820 powered Windows 10 Mobile
Xiaomi will launch the Mi 5 at an event in Beijing, China on February 24. On the same day, Xiaomi will also show off the Mi 5 at MWC 2016.
