Xiaomi was barred from selling MediaTek powered devices in India, following a patent infringment suit filed by Ericsson resulting in speculation about the India launch of MediaTek powered Redmi Note 3. However the company unveiled a Snapdragon powered model of the Redmi Note 3, called, Redmi Note 3 Pro in China, and announced it's plan to launch in India soon.
Now Xiaomi has scheduled an event for March 3 in New Delhi, India, where it will launch the Redmi Note Pro for the Indian market. The device will launch in India as Redmi Note 3.
To attend the launch event, you can apply for an invitation on Xiaomi's MIUI official Global site. The first 1,000 attendess will receive a goodie bag at the event. The registration for the event is now open, and wilk close on February 25, 14:30.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has has a metal body, 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 650 SoC, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB internal storage, 16MP rear & 5MP front camera, 4G LTE, fingerprint scanner and 4050mAh battery. It costs CNY 999 in China that's around Rs. 10,150, according to exchange rates. We can expect the Redmi Note 3 to be priced around Rs. 10,000 figure in the country.
