Bengaluru based startup CREO earlier this year in January announced that it will launch a smartphone with its proprietary OS based on Android. Now the company has released the teaser video of its first smartphone called the Mark 1.
The brand didn't reveal any features of the Mark 1, but said that is a flagship offering and will receive monthly OS update to evolve the OS with a powerful feature every time, inspired by suggestions from its community of users. As per the teaser video, the Mark 1 sports a premium metal design and title says #ANewPhoneEveryMonth.
CREO said that with the Mark 1, it aims to make Android better, with features that aren't available on any other handsets. Currently, the company has employed 70 engineers, designers and makers to work on the Mark 1 smartphone.
“With our OS we’ll send you relevant updates that shall keep your phone running just as new as the first time you held it. And not just that, we’ll also ship a big new feature with every update,” claims CREO.
Even though CREO has not revealed the specs, A recent GFXBench listing reveals, the Mark 1 to have a 4.5-inch 720p display, MediaTek Helio X10 processor w/ PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage 21MP/8MP rear & front camera. It will run Android 5.1 Lollipop.
CREO says that the Mark 1 will launch later this year. The startup has secured $3 million funding earlier this year.
