Huawei's upcoming flagship, the P9 has got a possible launch date. A tweet sent out by Evan Blass (@evleaks) suggests that Huawei will launch the P9 at an event in London on April 6. However, Huawei is yet to give out an official launch date.
A few days back, press render of the Huawei P9 surfaced, showing the device to have a slim metal body, rear-dual camera setup and fingerprint sensor placed the at the back.
The Huawei P9 is expected to be released in four variants - P9, P9 Lite, P9 Max and a P9 high-end premium version. The P9 Lite will be equipped with Snapdragon 650 SoC/2GB RAM/16GB storage, the P9 standard with have Kirin 950 SoC/3GB RAM/32GB storage, P9 Max will have 6-inch display and equipped with Kirin 955 SoC/4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The P9 higher end model will have a screen size larger than P9, but smaller than P9 Max and will be equipped with Kirin 955 SoC/4GB RAM/64GB storage.
Other rumored features include 12-megapixel dual-rear camera w/ Leica lenses, laser auto focus and dual LED flash, 8-megapixel front camera and USB Type-C support.
