iFixit, the site well known for being the source of gadget hardware tear downs, has took the Galaxy S7 to its lab and cracked it open. After taking it apart, piece by piece, iFixit gives it a score of 3/10 when it comes to self-repairing the phone, which is lesser then Galaxy S6's score, 4/10.
The reason for the low score is because you'll need to remove the display if you want to replace the USB port. It is also not easy to replace the display, battery, digitizer, microphone and soft button LEDs, all of which that are stitched with other components.
iFixit revealed that the front and back glass can crack easily when removing and the use of strong adhesive on the back glass makes its difficult to open the device. iFixit says that replacing the glass without destroying the display is impossible.
iFixit also reveals that the Galaxy S7's Waterproof IP68 rating is achieved by using complete rubber seal inside. More rubber seals are present around the lower microphone and speaker. The liquid cooling system is built with tiny copper heat pipe.
