After the great success of Xiaomi's Mi series, Xiaomi is all set to launch it's new flagship Xiaomi Mi 5. There were lot's of rumors about this smartphone, but finally we have got confirmation. Xiaomi Mi 4 was one of the best smartphone for mid range with best camera quality, processor, display and everything. Xiaomi Mi 5 brings noticable changes as compare to Xiaomi Mi 4. So here we listed some major differences in the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 4.
Processor & RAM
Xiaomi Mi 5 is powered by the high-end Snapdragon 820 CPU, as compared to Mi 4 that has Snapdragon 801 SoC. The smartphone will be available in two choices in terms of storage and RAM availability. A Mi 5 with 3GB RAM will be the standard edition and the with 4 GB of RAM will be a Pro Mi 5. While the older Xiaomi Mi 4 had two options of 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM.
Design
Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with an all new metallic design. It is more fine tuned and premium than the previous flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 4. Xiaomi Mi 5 has a 3D glass curve design (similar to Xaiomi Mi note) and the metal frame merges very smoothly onto the glass back on the edges, which gives it an elegant look.
Camera
The camera in previous flagship Mi 4 was not quite good but the company has made rear camera in Xiaomi Mi 5 more perfect and responsive. The camera in Mi 5 packed with 16 MP Sony IMX298 sensor with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and LED flash. It is the first smartphone that has 4-axis optical image stabilisation and the front camera of Mi 5 is reduced to 4 MP as the previous Mi 4 was having 8 MP.
Quick Charge
Xiaomi has also improved the Quick Charge technology with the new smartphone Mi 5. Mi 5 comes with Quick Charge 3.0, which is 20 percent faster than previous Mi 4 as per Xiaomi has mentioned. Quick Charge 3.0 boosts charging of Mi 5 of 2.5 hours usage time within just 5 minutes of charge while one hour charging will charged the smartphone upto 80-90 percent. The Mi 4 has Quick Charge 2.0. Xiaomi has also opted for USB Type-C on the Mi 5.
FingerPrint Sensor
Now a days fingerprint sensor has become a standard feature in high-end smartphones and even in budget smartphone category. Xiaomi has added this security feature to the Mi 5. The newest flagship has a physical home button and has integrated the fingerprint scanner in it, which was missing in the Mi 4.
