Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new Redmi 3 variant, called Redmi 3S. The handset has been certified by China's TENAA, and features the same metal body design with unique pattern on back and specifications as the Redmi 3, but will have a fingerprint scanner at the back.
The Redmi 3S will have a 5-inch 720p IPS display, Snapdragon 616 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (microSD card support for expansion), 13MP rear camera (w/ PDAF, LED flash) 5MP front camera, 4G LTE and 4000mAh or 3000mAh battery. It will run MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop and have Hybrid SIM tray.
Xiaomi's Redmi 3S is expected to be priced at CNY 799 ($120 | Rs. 8,000) and is likely to be part of Xiaomi's sixth Anniversary announcement, which falls on April 6.
