The Best 4 Android Apps for Creating Screencasts and Tutorials

October 4, 2014
After writing about the three different ways to record a screencast on Chromebooks, I received a few emails asking about similar apps to use on Android. So I went ahead and compiled for you this short list of what I personally believe are some of the best apps you can use on Android to record your screen and create beautiful screencasts. Have a look and share with us if you think we forget to include a title to this collection.

1- Explain Everything

Explain Everything is an easy-to-use design, screencasting, and interactive whiteboard tool that lets you annotate, animate, narrate, import, and export almost anything to and from almost anywhere. Using Explain Everything, you will be able to create slides, draw in any color, add shapes, add text, and use a laser pointer. Rotate, move, scale, copy, paste, clone, and lock any object added to the stage.
Add existing photos, objects, import PDF documents from local storage, Google Drive, Dropbox or insert a fully functioning web browser window. Export MP4 movies, YouTube videos or save Explain Everything XPLX projects locally, to Google Drive and to Dropbox. No account is necessary to use Explain Everything and share creations.

2-  UTGreat

UTGreat is similar to Educreations on iPad. It provides you with an interactive whiteboard to created and record videos and illustrations. It supports text, images, and video conferencing. It is ideal for creating annotated narrations to share with students.

3- Animoby

AniMoby allows users to create presentations on their tablet using an advanced interactive whiteboard, sound recording capabilities, and a variety of design tools (paint, photo and text insertion, draw, highlight, etc.). AniMoby is part of the EdTech, e-learning revolution that is changing and improving age-old methods of education.
The app is designed for educators, as teachers can create lessons with the app on their tablets, and then send these lessons to students. Students can view these lessons anytime, anywhere on any computer or mobile device with internet connection. This provides assistance to teachers who would like to supplement classroom lessons or reiterate information covered in class. This makes the app a perfect tool for class flipping practices.

" Lensoo Create turns your Android tablet into a virtual whiteboard with voice recording, video and smooth digital writing. Using Lensoo Create you can quickly share your ideas through email, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn from virtually anywhere. You can also download recordings on the website.
