If you saw (RED) from Apple last 1 December, you should not be alarmed. Everyone else saw red across the world for a good cause after Apple stores changed their trademark white logo red to celebrate the World AIDS Day.
The move is part of a fundraising project that Apple is pushing together with (RED), an organization started by Bono and Bobby Shriver. In addition, for the next two weeks, a section of App store will feature 25 exclusive apps. The proceeds from content downloaded in the Apps for (RED) section of the store will all go directly to the Global Fund as well.
Apple CEO Tim Cook is proud of the company's involvement with AIDS research and the ongoing partnership with (RED).

For eight years, our customers have been helping fight AIDS in Africa by funding life-saving treatments which are having a profoundly positive impact. This year we are launching our biggest fundraising push yet with the participation of Apple's retail and online stores ..." he said in a press release.
According to the statement, several popular Apps will create special (RED) content to help raise funds. Among them are:
The content was unveiled on the App Store on World AIDS Day, which also happens to be Cyber Monday, 1 December.
